We want to thank everyone who made it out to the Stone Church this past Saturday to say goodbye. The energy that you all brought to Newmarket that night was incredible and made our last show our best show.
Be sure to keep an eye out for our various side projects.
So long everyone and thanks for the memories.

Funkfoot horns II !!?

Be sure to keep your eyes (and ears) out for the Funkfoot horns, making guest appearances at select shows. Nothing moves that ass like that down and dirty brass.

Funkfoot horns?!

We plan on giving it right back to y'all with a string of power-packed shows guaranteed to make you move, and keep you warm all through the winter. Check out the gigs page for all the new tour dates.
See ya all at the party!!

Jammin 'till the break of dawn

Wow!! What a weekend! We be Jammin fest under the lights... we couldn't see ya but we could sure feel ya. Many thanks to all who showed their love and support, and especially to the Rhythm Ship who went to bat for us. You guys are awesome. The night would not have been complete however, if the keys didn't get locked in the funkmobile.

...But to top the weekend off, our home-coming back at The Stone Church. The Foot Clan came out in force on Saturday night, giving us our warmest welcome to date at our beloved Stone Church. Spiritual Rez rocked the house 'til close, kicking off their fall tour with their first (and definitely not their last) performance at the Church.

So many thanks to Spiritual Rez, Andy May, The Stone Church, Don C. up in Starks, Me, the Rhythm Ship, and especially the fans (our beloved Foot Clan, we definitely could not do it without you) See y'all down the line
-Fuzz

Bad Moose, Good Music

The Foot is back!

Come on up to Moultonboro, New Hampshire for Funkfoot's first gig of 2006. We've been hard at work in our underground lab, revitalizing old songs and cranking out a couple new ones!

Don't miss it!

Wallflowers Beware!

Rumors emanating from deep within the Funkfoot underground hint at new songs with an incredibly high concentration of boogie. When these songs are deployed in early March, episodes of mass gyration may ensue.

Please consult your doctor before using Funkfoot.

Ring in the new year with Funkfoot!

Hey everyone, we just confirmed our New Year's Eve show. It's Hot!!! Head over to the gigs page to check it out.

Thanks Worcester!

We had a great time Thursday night playing at Tammany Hall in Worcester. A cool bar in a crazy old building! We'll be playing with Uncle Billy's Smokehouse again on Nov. 29th at Milly's Tavern in Manchester.

We want to thank everyone that made the trek down to see us -- it's always nice to have friendly faces in the crowd. A big thanks to Dan, Sophie and Ben who all came out to see their first Funkfoot show ever. Thanks also to Marcus, Jessie, Jane, Varshana, and Lucy who kept the dancefloor going. You guys rock!

Check out Funkfoot this Monday at the Stone Church in Newmarket. We'll be playing in a benefit for the Crossroads House -- come and dance!

We finally have some new photos up, with even more on the way!

Check back soon...

Do it For Dave!

We want to give a big thanks to Dave Gerrard from Truffle for coming out and playing with us. We certainly had an awesome time, and we created some really interesting improvisations.

Join us every Wednesday in October at the Baley Pub. Each week will feature a different special guest (or guests!), so check 'em all out!

Katahdin - CANCELLED!

We're sorry to announce that the Katahdin View Music Festival has been cancelled. Apparently there was some miscommunication between the festival organizers and the local authorities, so it's not going to happen. We apologize to everyone who bought tickets. Please contact us for a full refund.

Thanks Redhook!

We want to thank everyone that came out and supported us this Saturday at the 9th annual Redhookfest. We had a great time playing. The weather was beautiful!

Big props to Mike Willis and the Escape Artists, Carbon Leaf, and Big Head Todd for keeping the tunes bumping all day long!

Put a Foot on Your Back

T-shirts are in!! We have a full range of Adult sizes. They are beautiful! Jon did a great job with the design. They're flashy enough to get you noticed, classy enough to wear every day. (We definitely recommend wearing it every day.)

We'll be working on setting up and online store, so you can get your fill. Until then, speak with a band member, catch us at a show, or email tshirts@funkfoot.com.

Katrina Benefit Concert on 9/11

Hi everyone! We really hope you can come out this Sunday to the Bell Center in Dover NH for a benefit concert. We'll be performing along with a number of other great musicians (including Grammy-winning Ed Gerhard).

The suggested donation is $20, and it's well worth it. You get some great music, and you get to help the people whose lives have been torn apart recently.

Check out the Gigs page for more information.

Get on the Good Foot

Things are going well for The Foot. We've got a bunch of great gigs in the near future, including one at The Stone Church with Jen Durkin (formerly of Deep Banana Blackout). Definitely a night to check out!

We've also got t-shirts and CDs on the way, so check back frequently!

Stompin' Grounds

As things start to pick up for us (with more gigs coming in every day), be sure to check out our bulletin board, The Stompin Grounds, for the latest Funkfoot dish.

I've just started a thread so's y'all can reminisce about Mindfest.

Yeah Mindfest!

A big big shoutout to everyone who joined us at Mindfest. First and foremost, we want to thank Jamie and everyone else from Rhythm Ship for inviting us up in the first place. Thanks to all of our friends that made the weekend so comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks to all the bands that shared the stage with us, but especially: Primary Others, Groofus, Dynamic Stew, and Uncle Billy's Smokehouse.

We played a great set on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and had a lot of people dancing. We handed out some promo stickers, so hopefully we'll have some new guests on the website soon... If this is your first time -- welcome! Be sure to check out our Gigs page. We've got some great shows coming up!

Katahdin View Music Festival

Hey everybody, we just confirmed the Katahdin View Music Festival, in Patten, ME. This one is gonna kick some ass. You can check out the lineup over at the gigs page. It will be a great way to say goodbye to summer, and ring in fall.

Funkfoot to appear at Mindfest

After our show in Manchester, our friends from Rhythmship asked us to come join them at Mindfest. It's really exciting to be breaking on to the festival scene. It promises to be a very exciting weekend, with plenty of great music. Check out the gigs page for more information.

Two nights with Toussaint!

Lovin' Summer

Summer hasn't even begun officially, and it's already great. We kicked off the season with the Spring Classic over at The Stone Church, where we got to share the stage with Percy Hill, Toussaint, and Truffle. The weather was beautiful, and so was the crowd.

We'll be posting some new music and pictures in the next couple of weeks, so keep checking back.

Most exciting, we've begun to pull together the last few strands for our EP, I won't jinx the whole process by mentioning a specific date, but it's on the way, people!

New Pictures!

After six long months, we finally have new pictures. Jonathan was kind enough to snap some of our recent gig at the Church, opening up for The Breakfast. Check out the Photos page and see 'em for yourself.

As always, if you have pictures of a show and would be willing to share them with us, please contact us.

Happy Graduation...

We had a great weekend, rocking out at the Church with The Breakfast, and then playing at the Toast House for friends and family. Who could ask for more?

Our lives are fixing to get a little hectic, as we prepare to move, and get ready for the June 4th gig, all at the same time.

Fuzz Returns!

With Fuzz back in this country, we're plowing ahead toward Thursday's gig with The Breakfast. It's really great to be back together, rocking out with Fuzz.

We've also got a great gig scheduled for June 4th. Outside at the Stone Church! We'll be sharing the stage with Percy Hill, Tousaaint and the China Band, and Truffle.

As always, check the Gigs page for the lastest info on where we'll be playing next.

What Handsomely Organized Gents!

Eric's been working on a new Photos page, so check out his first version. We'll be adding more photos soon.

If anyone has a good digital camera and would be willing to take a lot of photos at a show, let us know, and we might be able to arrange free entrance.

Upward!

A lot of big happenings for Funkfoot. First, we've ordered stickers, they should be available in March. Second, we're going to be recording at the end of February. Sign up on our email list and you'll be notified as soon as our EP is available.

Last, but definitely not least, we've booked another gig at the Stone Church. Join us Saturday March 5th, as we rock the Church late into the night.

Back at It...

We want to thank everyone that came out to the Brickhouse, despite the nasty weather. We really enjoyed playing. We're even more excited that we get to play more shows soon.

Everyone and their mother should definitely come down to the Stone Church and check us out Saturday Feb. 5th. We'll be busting out the same two brand spanking new songs we debuted on Wednesday, dusting off an old chestnut or two, and perhaps even doing something y'all ain't never seen before.

Intrigued? Hope so…

Hittin' the Jive in 2005

Funkfoot's back! Well, okay, we never really went away, but still -- it's a new year, we've got some new tunes, and we'll be playing some new venues (new to us, at least). We've got two new gigs scheduled, and at least two more in the works, so check the Gigs page frequently.

Sappy Folidays

Bummed out that Chanukah's over? Can't wait until Christmas? Need something to tide you over between holidays?

Join us this Saturday night, with a host of other musicians, at Hondo Ranch. We'll be spreading cheer like it's going out of style.

Back to the Lab

After playing out 5 of the past 6 weeks, we finally have a little time off. We'll be heading back to the lab to cook up some new material, and figure out how to work Eric's new toy into the mix.

Check the Gigs page frequently to find out where we're playing next, or better yet, sign up for our email list.

Thank you Dover

A big thanks to everyone who came out to the Barley Pub on Saturday, and made our show with The New Classics such a big success. The crowd was fantastic, the beer was yummy, and the weather even cooperated by providing us with $1 Guiness. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that the club filled up too quickly, and a number of our friends couldn't get in! Sorry... Get there earlier next time.

Thanks to Zack, Laura, Amy, Adam, Betsy, Di, Brad, and Sudip for coming out. A special shout out to Conan and the BP regulars that decided to check us out.

And of course, we have to mention Alex, who made sure we were never thirsty.

Funkfoot and Moon Boot Lover

Hey everybody, We just booked a last minute show back at the Stone Church. We are opening up for Moon Boot Lover and couldn't be more excited. Check out the Gigs page for the details.

Funk Manifests itself at the Stone Church

We had an awsome time at the church last night with friends Manifest Nexto Me from Burlington, VT. Thanks to everyone for coming out, it was great to see all the Foot Soldiers march on Zion Hill. Special thanks to John Pasquale, Peter Hamelin, Paul Nessel, Jon Nolan, and everyone else at The Stone Church for making us feel so at home.

We've already got pictures up on the Photos page, so check 'em out.

What Handsome Gents!

What a groovy crowd! Yes folks, seeing is believing over at the funkfoot.com Photos page. Check it out for yourselves!

We have a lot more photos that we'll be posting just as soon as we can make the thumbnails, so keep checking back!

Ahhh... November

We had a great time jamming out at Hondo Ranch this past Saturday. We were glad Tyler invited us. We'll be playing a gig with his band The New Classics on December 4th. Be sure to check it out.

Happy Halloween

There's no other way to say it: The IOKA kicked ass on Halloween! So many people came out to support us, and enjoy the spooky atmosphere. There were so many great costumes, but Dave Bailey deserves special congratulations for winning the contest with his Spongebob Squarepants contruction. If anyone has a picture of it, please let us know.

A big thanks goes out to The Potown Underground for playing and letting us use their awesome PA. Also thanks to Spencer for setting up the event, and Andrea and Carl for creating the light-up foot.

Save the Date!

October 30th. Mark it on your calendars now! We're playing a Halloween show at Club Ioka in Exeter. Lots of people have heard of the Ioka Theater, a beautiful old-fashioned movie theater in downtown Exeter, NH, but fewer have heard of Club Ioka. The basement of the Ioka has been remodeled into a black-tie night club that may well be the swankiest venue on the seacoast. The pictures on the website just don't do it justice; it's the sort of place that makes you run out and buy a tuxedo (or a killer red dress).

Of course, it's Halloween, so wear what you will.

Here's the skinny: 18+ $10 cover. doors open at 9pm. cash bar. We'll be posting the most current info on the Gigs page. Stay tuned...

Thanks, Lamprey
Saturday, Oct. 2nd down at Dan's Lamprey River Tavern rocked! Thanks to all you guys for coming out. Hope y'all had as good a time as we did. We were thrilled to be a part of the Tavern's one year anniversary.
Funkfoot Goes to Church

We had a great crowd down at The Stone Church this past Monday night. We had Newmarket in the house (Andyman, Jay, Silas); we had Shmoo's crew (Freddy, Ariel, V); we had UNH and Durham (yeah Dale!).

The League of Pissed Off Voters put on an excellent event, and it was great to be a part of it. Politics can often be dry and dull, so it was cool to be able to add our energy to the event -- to get people moving. The Stone Church made the whole event possible, and really made sure everything went down smooth: food, drinks and music.

Who Says You Can't Git Down at a Grocery Store!?
We'd like to give a big thanks to everyone who helped make our recent gig at the Durham Marketplace a great success:
  • Owners Chuck and Betsy Cressy for inviting us to play.
  • Managers Ed Tatro and Eric Chaisson for set up, and all the yummy food.
  • Fred, Jenn, Shirah, Brittany, Nikki, and the rest of the flier crew for getting the word out.
  • Ed Valena for asking "what if".
We're Online!
As you can see, Funkfoot has stepped out into the information superhighway. If you are interested in our music, we hope you can find the information you need on this site. If not, please let us know.
We're Back!
After a brief hiatus, some minor surgery, and an incident involving a machete, Funkfoot is back! We have three gigs in eight days. It feels good.
Yeah Lamprey!
We'd like to give a big shout out to everyone who joined us down at the Lamprey River Tavern on August 21st. We had a fantastic time. As you may know, we recorded that show, so head over to the music page to hear yourself (and us).
